This site is about experiences from a time when I sailed as a ship’s engineer at the Dutch company ‘Bureau Wijsmuller’.
In the 60s – 70s when the Netherlands had a big name in the field of ‘towing’.
 
I translated some stories, as well as I could, into English.
 
All stories are really happening as I experienced them then.
Many images are my own, others I found on the internet or received them from everywhere.
Often the source is not mentioned, that is no unwillingness but often not to find out.
Nevertheless, my thanks for this.
