This site is about my experiences from a time when I worked as a marine engineer at the Dutch shipping company ‘Bureau Wijsmuller’.
In the 60s and 70s, when the Netherlands had a big name in the field of ‘towing’.
 
I translated some stories, as well as I could, into English.
All stories are really happening as I experienced them then.
 
Many images are my own; others I found on the internet or received them from everywhere.
Often the source is not mentioned, that is no unwillingness but often not find out.
Nevertheless, my thanks for this.
